The Fröja maquette is the first reconstruction of this two-mast schooner in the world. In 1768 Frederik Henrik Chapmann built the original ship for the fleet of the Swedish coastal navy. I used following historical literature to get the building plan:
- F. H. Chapmann - Architectura Navalis Mercatoria
- K.H. Marquardt - The global schooner
- K.H. Marquardt - Schoner in Nord und Süd
- L. Peterson - Rigging: Period Fore-and-Aft Craft
Gain: this model gained a silver medal in the national competition of non-floating models in Czech Republic and the fourth place in the national competition of floating models in 2014.
